Japan had an earthquake? Hopefully this earthquake is the one and only bad natural disaster that happens to them this year. Good news is no one is hurt.

It’s the time of year for resolutions, and I’ve had the same resolution for years without getting where I wan to be. I’d get frustrated and completely stop my efforts, however, over the years I’ve been better at getting back on track when I “fail.” Overall, these last few months have been pretty good for me in terms of being responsible for what I eat, well...

As much as I love winter, it is not a good time for me to be productive. I end up being super lazy, antisocial (so sad) and very hermit-like. But it’s okay I’m super excited for my kickboxing class next quarter and I’m probably going to take driving lessons too. I have a feeling that I’ll be able to stick to these two things next year. So I am at least looking forward to...

My little brother got comic books! I’m jealous. I’ve wanted to read some comic books for a while. I’ll probably ask him to let me borrow them. I’m his sister after all :)
But I finally got the bathrobe I wanted like a boss lol!
Merry Christmas everybody!

I was planning on reading a lot this break, but instead I find myself catching up on shows like Merlin and aimlessly using the internet. I’ll make sure to read at least two books out of the six that I borrowed though…just not today :p

For years, I’ve gone back and forth about what I want to do with my future without ever developing a strong passion for something. Recently, I feel that I’ve figured it out, or at least finally feel passionate about something. I considered this career path when I was younger but since the summer I’ve begun to seriously look into it. It seems silly to me, but at the moment...

One does not simply write a paper. Its paragraphs are guarded by more than just capital letters and careful punctuation. There is evil there that does not sleep, and the grammar nazi is ever watchful. There is a barren wasteland, riddled with metaphors and allusions, the very words you read are a confused jumble. Not with ten thousand men could you do this. It is folly.

I’m listening to Ramones albums, because I’ve finally decided to give them a good thorough listen, and I just realized that Family Guy did not originate the bird song!

After getting my grade for Humcore, I realized that I will always strive for some personal perfection. In terms of the immense number of students taking the Humcore class, I did great. In my terms, I wanted to do better. I’m not upset about my grade, but I wasn’t thrilled by it. Despite the class’ level of difficulty and workload, I did better than I expected coming into this...

I usually get most of the books I read from the library, so I’m placing holds on the books in my winter reading list. However, on Kafka on the Shore, I placed in 3rd. Realistically, I won’t be able to get the book within the next week or two. So just to make sure that I read a certain amount of pages during this winter break, I updated a reading list.

Big Bear trip was a success! I went sledding, played and lost in Monopoly (the most stressful game ever,) played Mafia, watched movies, talked, ate delicious food that the CP’s made for us, went to the Big Bear village, celebrated Angie’s birthday (fellow 19) and overall just had a good time.
I snow burned my lower back while sledding and almost hit a pile of pinecones and tree twigs...

Packing for Big Bear trip and winter break…
so many things! This is worse than packing to move in to CV.
P.S. It’s just my luck to find my packets of chamomile tea when the fall quarter is over…
